📏 Wide Text Generator

Convert text to fullwidth Unicode characters. Create wide text for social media and chat — all in your browser, no upload, instant results.

About the Wide Text Generator

This wide text generator runs entirely in your browser. Type or paste any text into the box above and click Convert to turn every ASCII character into its fullwidth Unicode equivalent. Nothing is uploaded to a server — the conversion happens instantly with JavaScript on your device.

How it works

The tool maps each ASCII character in the printable range (! to ~, code points 0x21–0x7E) to its fullwidth counterpart by adding the offset 0xFEE0. For example, a (U+0061) becomes a (U+FF41). The ASCII space (U+0020) is mapped to the ideographic space (U+3000) for a uniform wide look.

Where to use wide text

  • Social media bios and posts — Give your profile or caption a distinctive aesthetic look.
  • Chat messages — Stand out in group chats with stylized wide text.
  • Vaporwave and aesthetic art — A classic element of the vaporwave visual style.
  • Usernames and display names — Many platforms accept fullwidth characters in display names.

How to use the generator

  1. Type or paste your text in the input box.
  2. Click Convert — the wide version appears in the output box.
  3. Click Copy to copy the result to your clipboard, or Clear to start over.

Frequently asked questions

Does this tool upload my text? No. All conversion happens locally in your browser. Your text never leaves your device.

Will the wide text work everywhere? Most modern platforms support fullwidth Unicode characters, but some sites may filter or normalize them. If a platform rejects the text, that's a platform limitation, not a bug in the tool.

What happens to characters outside the ASCII range? Non-ASCII characters (like emojis, accented letters, or CJK characters) are passed through unchanged.

Is there a length limit? The only limit is your browser's available memory. Even very long documents convert instantly.
